Storpio Rides Again

Ok, so after I thought it was all over my short film STORPIO was invited to screen at the Salem Oregon Festival.

It was in a screening entitled "Things we do for love", although work constraints kept me from attending the screening I heard it was a smashing success. I know my film parter (Benjamin McPherson ) and myself are great full for the opportunity!

Soon to come a blog post on my fight to the death with the video store clerk...

Teaser

Film stuff aside, I have to take a quick note and link you all to a new project I'm working on with my brother in law and my brother. I cant tell you anything about it, but please check the site out again at the end of July :D www.ursustabletop.com

On another film note, Storpio screened this week at the LDS Film Festival, honestly I was not even looking forward to it, and thought it a small under developed festival, but was absolutely shocked, the screening was amazing and the very large theater room was packed with over 300 body's, it was an amazing film event with some very cool shorts that screened with us. I would do it again in a heartbeat.

And on another note, who is this kid? One of these kids is 3 years older then the other one. Who is Uly, and Who is Mag? Can you tell??????

Denver was fantastic!

“The Importance of being human” was a completely sold out show, 2 nights in a row, Storpio showed last in a lineup of 4 other amazing and impressive shorts. It was a whirlwind of excitement for all of us that showed up, and for all the friends and family that showed up to support us. After the credits rolled, we (Ben McPherson and I, as well as 3 other film makers) had the opportunity to stand in front of the audience and take questions. It seemed our little film generated quite a few questions, especially from a group of little old women!

Now, after that I was expecting to finally place Storpio to rest, amongst other completed projects and just let it live by itself. But it seems that the screening in Denver Starz generated some interest from another popular festival up in the great north west. We have been invited by a festival in Oregon to possibly screen, so if all goes well Storpio may live again up on the silver screen.

I’ll keep you posted.

Here comes Denver!

Storpio has been invited to screen at the Denver Starz 30th annual film festival!

Whew, its been a lot of work up to now, and its only getting tougher! Preparing a trailer, posters, DVD copy's for judgement, and bouncing the entire short down to Digibeta for screening...doesn't sound like much but with an already very very busy schedule (I will talk about soon) It added up quick!

STORPIO will screen on the 10th and 11th, in a segment called "The Importance of Being Human". It sounds like a perfect fit for our little film project. If anyone is in the Denver area, you wont be disappointed! Benjamin McPherson and myself (Ben Stier) will be viewing the screenings for the duration of the festival. See you under the silver screen.
